Ford Certified Used Vehicles

Each Ford Certified Pre-Owned vehicle goes through a rigorous safety and mechanical inspection (up to 172 points) covering the powertrain, chassis, features and the overall condition of the vehicle. Each vehicle also comes with 7-year/100,000-mile powertrain limited warranty coverage, a 12-month/12,000-mile comprehensive limited warranty, Roadside Assistance, a full tank of gas at delivery and a Vehicle History Report. A Ford Certified Pre-Owned vehicle must be under six model years old and can’t have more than 80,000 actual miles on the odometer.

Ford Certified Pre-Owned

172-Point Inspection

If a vehicle doesn’t meet our strict criteria, we won’t certify it. It’s that simple. Each vehicle must pass a rigorous point-by-point inspection (up to as many as 172 points including the Blind Spot Information System, Active Park Assist and My Ford Touch) by Ford factory-trained technicians. Only those vehicles that pass can become Ford Certified Pre-Owned vehicles and be warranted for as much as 7-years or 100,000 miles. Call us for details. Each Ford Certified Pre-Owned vehicle also undergoes a comprehensive mechanical reconditioning process during certification. To ensure the highest standard of quality is met, only new, Genuine Ford, Motorcraft® or Ford-authorized replacement parts are used during this reconditioning.

Vehicle History Report

Not every vehicle can make the cut as a Ford Certified Pre-Owned vehicle. To even be considered for certification, each Ford must be less than 6 model years old and have fewer than 80,000 miles on the odometer.

After a vehicle has been determined as eligible in terms of age and mileage, an independent third-party vehicle history report is run to identify any vehicle that does not meet our strict standards. The report is run as a part of our 172-point inspection process, and it includes checks for:

  • Flood vehicles
  • Fire damage
  • Frame damage
  • Salvage vehicles
  • Branded title
  • Odometer issues
  • Accident history
  • Vehicle title history

In addition, you can view the actual Vehicle History Report for a specific vehicle by simply searching our current inventory now. Or ask Sam Pack’s Five Star Ford Carrollton for a copy when you arrive at the dealership.
