2017 Ford Escape – Dallas Dealer Review
As one of Ford’s most popular models, the Ford Escape compact SUV offers convenience, fuel efficiency and plenty of room for passengers and cargo. For over fifteen years Ford owners have selected this model as a practical and fun family vehicle. New design features for the upcoming 2017 Escape model will elevate this beloved Ford to a new level, offering more technology, safety and an enhanced driving experience.
Exterior enhancements such as new bold front and back end styling including new headlights, grille and bumper design will give the Escape a more purposeful look, and the new taillights and liftgate give the SUV a wider stance. Two new EcoBoost engines are also coming to the 2017 Ford Escape. New models will be offered with either a turbocharged 1.5-liter or a twin-scroll turbo 2.0-liter engine.
The Escape will also be the first Ford vehicle with standard Auto Start-Stop when equipped with an EcoBoost engine, which shuts the engine off when idling to conserve fuel. Available SYNC Connect will allow Escape owners to remotely start their vehicle, lock and unlock the doors, get their vehicle’s location and check vehicle information like tire pressures and fuel level right from an easy to use smartphone app.
Many driver assistance technologies will be available on the 2017 Escape, including adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning with brake support, enhanced park assist, lane-keeping aid, blind-spot information system and a hands-free foot-activated liftgate. The new Escape will also come with five years of complimentary service and a service record system that integrates with the SYNC 3 infotainment system.
