Ford Motor Company and its dealers are working to help victims of Hurricane Harvey. Ford Motor Company has contributed $500,000 to disaster relief efforts in Texas. Their contribution is being distributed to organizations like the American Red Cross, The Salvation Army and Catholic Charities. Texas area Ford dealers have donated $200,000 to disaster relief organizations and are committed to raising more than $1 million to go toward helping dealership employees who are victims of the recent hurricane. Ford Motor Company is matching the effort with a total of $1.5 million in donations to designated community relief charities.
Ford has also announced the “Texas is Family” special customer assistance bundle to help those who have lost a vehicle replace it quickly. The ‘Family’ program allows these customers to pay the below-invoice price Ford employees and families receive with no payments until next year. It also includes low Ford Credit APR lease rates and has an expedited application process.
For existing Ford customers affected by Hurricane Harvey, Ford will defer vehicle payments for up to two months.* Ford is also offering a special $1,000 discount (in addition to other available incentives) for first responders in hurricane-affected areas.
“Our hearts go out to all of those affected by Hurricane Harvey. Texas is like family for Ford,” said Jim Hackett, Ford president and CEO. “Our teams are working day and night to help our customers, dealers and communities get back on their feet.”
