New Ford Fusion Lineup Unveiled – Dallas Ford Dealer Review
Ford unveiled the new Fusion model lineup at the North American International Auto Show last week. The Fusion is completely unique among midsize sedans. It offers more technology including two hybrid models and a new all-wheel-drive V6 Sport model that out-powers the 2016 BMW 340.
New Fusion models include the Fusion Platinum, Fusion V6 Sport, Fusion Hybrid and Fusion Energy plug-in hybrid. The Fusion Platinum is the elevated, upscale model appointed with antiqued Cocoa leather surrounding the instrument and door trim panels, a hand wrapped steering wheel trimmed in premium Venetian leather and other soft touch finishes. It has a unique grille finished in magnetic paint and rides on 19-inch polished wheels.
For those who enjoy the thrill of the road, the Fusion V6 Sport is a performance sedan unlike any other in its class. It is powered by a twin-turbocharged 2.7 liter EcoBoost V6 engine that delivers around 325 horsepower and 350 lb-ft of torque. As an all-wheel drive vehicle, it out performs other V6 powered models such as the Toyota Camry and Honda Accord.
For those who prefer hybrid models, the new Ford Fusion Hybrid and Fusion Energy are America’s top-selling plug in hybrids. Both models are powered by a more efficient electric motor and are expected to deliver more efficient fuel economy than ever before.
