Sporty Ford Ranger FX2 Package

As more customers prioritize truck customization and capability options, Ford is enabling Ranger buyers to take their two-wheel-drive truck to the

next level with a new FX2 Package.  New Ford Ranger truck buyers seem to prefer personalization options with two in every three buyers opting for a Sport Appearance Package, Chrome Appearance Package or STX Appearance Package, while one in every three selects the FX4 Off-Road Package. Over half of Ranger buyers are choosing the Trailer Tow Package.

“We’re seeing sales trends that tell us to grow Ranger’s capability and appearance options even further,” said Chad Callander, Ford Ranger consumer marketing manager. “The FX2 Package is a result of us listening to our customers and what they’re demanding from their trucks.”

Aimed at more urban markets, the FX2 Package rides on 17- or available 18-inch off-road tires to add even tougher styling to two-wheel-drive Ranger. A front underbody guard and air dam-delete provide even more distinction, while shielding the underbody and improving approach angles.

Ford Ranger Fx2 Profile

Adding to Ranger’s two-wheel-drive capability, the FX2 Package includes an electronic-locking rear differential and off-road-tuned suspension for increased traction and performance off-road. Ford’s off-road cluster screen adds to the FX2 experience inside, where drivers can see pitch, roll and yaw in real time.

New Ranger trucks offer a wide variety of packages and options, including the new Black Appearance Package with black accents and high-gloss black wheels, the Sport Appearance Package with Magnetic Gray-painted accents and unique wheels and the Chrome Appearance Package with chrome body accents and bright chrome wheels.

FX2 is the latest addition to Ranger’s capability offerings, which include the Trailer Tow Package with a 4-pin/7-pin wiring harness and Class IV trailer hitch receiver and the FX4 Off-Road Package featuring an electronic locking rear differential and Terrain Management System with Trail Control.

Our Ford Dealership near Dallas, Texas has a big selection of new Ford Ranger trucks in stock now.  We are expecting delivery of Ford Ranger trucks equipped with the FX2 Package later this year.  If you would like to learn more about the many trim options available for this versatile new pickup please contact us.

New Ford Engine For F-Series Trucks

Ford is raising the bar for capability in F-Series trucks. The all-new 7.3-liter engine in Ford Super Duty pickups cranks out a best-in-class gasoline V8 output of 430 horsepower at 5,500 rpm and best-in-class torque of 475 ft.-lb. at 4,000 rpm. No other competitor provides such a powerful and advanced gasoline engine in such a broad range of offerings – from Class 2 Super Duty pickups through Class 7 commercial trucks.

Ford 7.3 Liter V8 Engine

The 7.3-liter engine is paired with the all-new 10-speed heavy-duty TorqShift® transmission on Super Duty pickups and is designed for robust power, long-term durability and ease of service that truck owners demand for personal and business use. This powerful new engine will be available first in Super Duty F-250 and F-350 pickup models. It joins the 6.2-liter V8 gas engine in the Super Duty’s lineup, along with the upgraded third-generation 6.7 liter Power Stroke® diesel V8 engine.

A dyno-certified version of the 7.3-liter V8 producing 350 horsepower at 3,900 rpm and 468 lb.-ft. of torque at 3,900 rpm will be standard on F-450 chassis cab, F-550, the new F-600, F-650 and F-750 Medium Duty trucks. The upgraded Ford E-Series will also feature the 7.3-liter V8 engine. For F-250 through F-600 models the 7.3-liter engine is paired with the all-new Ford-designed and Ford-built 10-speed heavy-duty TorqShift® automatic transmission. All other commercial models retain the TorqShift® heavy-duty 6-speed automatic transmission.

2020 Ford F-Series Super Duty Tremor Off-Road Package

Ford Super Duty drivers are using their F-Series trucks for more than just work. With remarkable towing power and payload capability, Super Duty trucks are being used for plenty of off-road adventures. To further enhance all that the Super Duty has to offer Ford is introducing an all-new Tremor Off-Road package. Ford Super Duty trucks equipped with Tremor will push the boundaries of off-road capability with new hardware and tech to handle rough terrain, providing greater towing and payload than Ram Power Wagon.

Tremor off-road upgrades start with a set of aggressive 35-inch-diameter Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac maximum-traction tires – the largest diameter tires available on a heavy-duty pickup – mounted on a set of unique 18-inch matte-finished black wheels. These tires, combined with a 2-inch front-end lift and shorter air dam, result in an impressive 10.8 inches of ground clearance, best-in-class water fording of 33 inches, and the best approach and departure angles of any Super Duty ever.

Suspension upgrades include progressive-rate springs to balance heavy-duty towing performance needs while also controlling body motion on rocky trails. The rear stabilizer bar is tuned for a lower spring rate so passengers experience less turbulence when traveling over rough terrain. Also in place are custom 1.7-inch piston twin-tube dampers that work to control body motion. These massive shocks feature substantial oil volume that serves to keep internal temperatures low, while the large cross-section works to improve responsiveness.

Ford F-250 Super Duty Tremor Package

The new Tremor package includes additional hardware such as off-road running boards that tuck up next to the body for damage control, extended-axle vent tubes and the same beefy skid plates as fitted to FX4 models. New Ford F-Series Tremor trucks will feature  selectable drive modes, which allow customers to choose the setting best suited to driving conditions. These include normal for around-town use, tow/haul for optimized performance under load, eco for enhanced fuel economy, slippery for icy conditions, and deep snow/sand for low-traction conditions. A new rock-crawl mode will also be introduced with this package which operates in 4×4 low and enables the standard TorqShift® 10-speed automatic transmission.

The new Tremor Off-Road Package will be available on a variety of trim levels on 2020 Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty trucks with either all-new 7.3-liter gas V8 or third-generation 6.7-liter Power Stroke® diesel engines. Our Ford Dealership near Dallas is anticipating delivery of new 2020 Super Duty trucks later this year and we are happy to answer any of your questions about this exciting new breed of truck.

Ford Ranger Safety – Smart Seatbelt Feature

New Ford Ranger owners love this nimble and capable new truck for its off-road prowess, towing capacity and abundant high-tech features. Considering the new Ranger is a “go anywhere” truck, it’s nice to know that it is also equipped with an intuitive safety feature to keep passengers safe. Ever Ranger is equipped with a smart seatbelt monitor to ensure rear seat passengers stay buckled up.

The new Ford Seatbelt Monitor alerts the driver if a second row passenger unbuckles and indicates which seat they’re in. While other seat belt systems only monitor front and rear passengers as the driver initially pulls away, Ranger alerts a driver when any passenger unbuckles while driving. By flagging the specific seat position, the driver can remind occupants to buckle up again.

Ranger Seat Belt Monitor

Ranger’s Belt Monitor is the first rear seat belt reminder system to debut in Ford’s truck lineup. First introduced on the 2018 Ford Expedition and Lincoln Navigator, Belt Monitor will roll out across the entire North American lineup over the next few years.

“Whether you’re on the freeway or the trail, we want to make sure everyone who puts a seat belt on keeps it on,” said Paul Kula, Ford electrical systems engineer. “We hope that making Belt Monitor a standard feature in every Ford Ranger will provide extra peace of mind for the driver.”

The all-new Ford Ranger brings other smart driver-assist technologies, advanced passenger convenience and connectivity features like standard automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection and 4G LTE Wi-Fi with connectivity for up to 10 devices.
Ford Co-Pilot360™ technologies like Lane-Keeping System and class-exclusive Blind Spot Information System with trailer coverage are standard on Ranger XLT and Lariat trim levels. Additional driver-assist technologies including adaptive cruise control and forward and reverse sensing systems are available on XLT and Lariat trucks.
