Ford Auto Parts Help The Environment
Did you know that Ford Recycles 1.2 Billion Plastic Bottles a Year for Auto Parts? Ford Motor company now builds underbody shields for all models and the wheel liners on F-Series trucks with plastic recycled from water bottles. On average about 250 bottles per vehicle are used.
Due to its light weight, recycled plastic is ideal for the manufacture of underbody shields, engine under shield and front and rear wheel arch liners that can help improve vehicle aerodynamics. These shields also help create a significantly quieter environment on the all-new 2020 Ford Escape.
“Ford is among the leaders when it comes to using recycled materials such as this, and we do it because it makes sense technically and economically as much as it makes sense for the environment,” said Thomas Sweder, design engineer, Ford Motor Company. “This material meets all of our robust specifications for durability and performance.”
Ford Motor Company is dedicated to building environmentally friendly vehicles. From their efficient clean-air hybrid vehicles to the parts that are used across the full model lineup, Ford is making difference.

Ford Partners with Rivian for New Battery Electric Vehicles
RJ Scaringe, Rivian founder and CEO, and Ford Executive Chairman, Bill Ford
The Ford Motor Company is teaming up with Rivian to explore new vehicle propulsion options. Rivian has announced an equity investment of $500 million from Ford Motor Company and plans for the two companies to develop an all-new, next-generation battery electric vehicle for Ford’s growing EV portfolio using Rivian’s skateboard platform.
Rivian already has developed two clean-sheet vehicles with adventurers at the core of every design and engineering decision. The company’s launch products – the five-passenger R1T pickup and seven-passenger R1S SUV – will deliver up to 400-plus miles of range and provide an unmatched combination of performance, off-road capability and utility, starting in late 2020.
Ford intends to develop a new vehicle using Rivian’s flexible skateboard platform. This is in addition to Ford’s existing plans to develop a portfolio of battery electric vehicles. As part of its previously announced $11 billion EV investment, Ford already has confirmed two key fully electric vehicles: a Mustang-inspired crossover coming in 2020 and a zero-emissions version of the best-selling F-150 pickup.

Get Packages Delivered to Your Car
Have you ever wondered if that Amazon delivery was going to be safe on your porch all day while you’re at work or running errands? Online shoppers run the risk of having packages stolen from their doorstep or damaged by wet weather when they are not home to receive the delivery. There is now a new solution for Ford owners who shop online. Ford Motor Company is teaming up with Amazon for a new In-Car delivery service.
Now Ford and Lincoln owners can have their Amazon Prime packages delivered directly to their vehicles. It’s a convenient, secure way to ensure that packages are delivered directly to you when you are out for the day, anticipating bad weather or wondering if your package is safe.
Ford’s new partnership with Amazon brings its Key by Amazon In-Car delivery service to select Ford 2017 and later model year vehicles equipped with FordPass Connect. In-Car delivery will be available virtually anywhere that Amazon offers the service, which is currently in several U.S. cities and surrounding areas.
To use the in-car service, Ford owners simply download the FordPass app, create an account and activate their car for in-car delivery. The Amazon Key app links to an existing Amazon Prime account through the FordPass app. Once the package is on its way, notifications are sent throughout the delivery process notifying the owner right before the delivery takes place and confirms that the delivery is complete and the car has been securely locked.
This new program grants vehicle owners complete control of when and where deliveries take place. If they change their mind on the day of delivery, access to the car can be blocked and delivery can be made to the building where the car is parked or the delivery can be rescheduled for the following day.
Our Ford Dealership near Dallas, Texas is pleased to bring you updates about exciting new services available to Ford owners. New High Performance Package for 2020 Mustang
A new 2.3L High Performance Package will soon be available for 2020 Ford Mustang EcoBoost models. New Mustangs enhanced by the performance package are expected to deliver a projected 330 horsepower and 350 lb.-ft. of torque, making them the most powerful four-cylinder sports cars offered by an American automaker.
“The Ford Performance Focus RS 2.3-liter engine is a high-revving marvel, and anyone who’s driven this EcoBoost engine instantly loves how quickly it responds and delivers power,” said Carl Widmann, Mustang chief engineer. “When our team got the chance to try this specially built engine in a Mustang, we immediately agreed, ‘We have to do this.’”
This new performance upgrade will include race tuned suspension, aerodynamics and brakes borrowed from the popular Mustang GT Performance line. The 2020 Mustang 2.3L High Performance Package is designed to run 0-60 in the mid-four-second range on premium fuel, with top speed increasing to 155 mph, a 10 mph gain over the 2019 EcoBoost Performance Package and 34 mph faster than the base EcoBoost Mustang.
For greater steering precision, Ford designers added an alloy strut tower brace to stiffen the chassis at the front. To improve stopping power and fade resistance, the 2.3L High Performance Package adds larger four-piston fixed calipers with 13.9-inch front rotors from Mustang GT. It features a 32-millimeter sway bar up front and a tubular 21.7-millimeter bar at the rear. The result is an aggressive road-holding stance, near-balanced 53/47 weight distribution and fully independent suspension, plus chassis and aerodynamic upgrades from the Mustang GT and its Performance Package.
2020 Ford Mustangs with the EcoBoost 2.3L High Performance Package will also have an aggressive new look. Exterior features include a large black front splitter, a blacked-out grille with offset Mustang tri-bar pony emblem, 2.3L High Performance Package side badges and magnetic gray side mirrors as well as a raised blade rear spoiler and a unique metallic gray stripe across the hood to add to the performance look. Specialized interior features will include an engine-spun aluminum instrument panel with oil pressure and turbo boost gauges, plus a serialized dash plaque.
Four new Mustang colors for 2020 include Grabber Lime, Iconic Silver, Red Hot Metallic Tinted Clearcoat and Twister Orange. New 17-inch sparkle silver-painted aluminum wheels now come standard on the base 2020 Mustang EcoBoost. Our Ford Dealership near Dallas is expecting delivery of the 2020 Ford Mustang with 2.3L High Performance Package to arrive this fall.
